Cute Names for Stick Insects

While many people wouldn’t consider insects as pets, there are just as many who would. Insects can make amazing pets and are actually some of the easiest to care for! There’s no barking, litter boxes to clean, or anything else that you might find annoying about caring for your pets when it comes to insects, which makes them excellent for children and other curious minds that love to watch the little guys crawl (or fly) around.

One excellent pet from the insect kingdom is the Stick Insect. Also called Stick Bugs and Walking Sticks among other names, these guys are super cool and so fun to watch — even though they spend much of their time in one position! They come in several varieties and can be smaller or larger depending on which one you choose. Either way, they’re awesome and one of my favorite bugs (and I don’t have many of those)!

So, once you’ve decided what type of Stick Insect you’ll be getting, there are a few things you need to do to prepare for your new friend. A suitable enclosure and plenty of fresh water, as well as the appropriate food are all important. You might also want to give your new friend a name — though he’ll likely never come when called it’s something fun for you to do for him!
